I happened to find the film "Meet Me In St Louis" in the library with Judy Garland. Meet Me in St. Louis is a 1944 musical directed by Vincente Minnelli who I was not very familiar with. As I usually love musicals, I brought it home. We watched it in the week, but as my father also appreciates musicals (especially from that era), we passed watched it with him when we visited on Sunday (to his delight).
The film is set in 1903 St. Louis, Missouri, as the city prepared for the World's Fair, the Smith family is happy there but one evening, the father announces that he has got a better job in New York and that he will soon have to leave Missouri. The mother and the four daughters are in turmoil … And I suggest the film if you are a musical fan!
